Rosalie L. Westropp, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Parkview Hospital. She was born in Fort Wayne on April 17, 1939 to the late James A. and Dorothy (Blaising) Leonard. Rosalie attended Saint Patrick Grade School and Central Catholic of Fort Wayne before graduating from Saint Agnes in Indianapolis. She married Robert W. Westropp on October 1, 1960. They had eight children and were members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. Surviving are her daughters, Ann Westropp and Elizabeth Westropp (Gary Sorensen) all of Indianapolis and her daughters-in-law, Patricia (John) Sprague of Monroeville and Jennifer Westropp (Rick Poinsatte) of Fort Wayne and son-in-law Dave Litchfield of Fort Wayne. She is also survived by her siblings, Kathleen (Doug) Bailey and James (Sarah) Leonard. She leaves behind 8 grandchildren: Allison (Dan) Rowe, Robert (Ashley) Westropp, Mary Kate Litchfield, Peter Litchfield, Emily Westropp (Max Geijteman), Ben Westropp, Jack (Emilie) Litchfield, and Abby Westropp. Rosalie leaves behind 7 great grandchildren: Claire, Russell, Logan and Catherine Rowe, Reese and Jameson Westropp, and Ahsoka Litchfield. Rosalie also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who she adored. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 29, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 4500 Fairfield Avenue Fort Wayne, Indiana with visitation one hour prior.
