Rosie attended Adams Elementary (K-8th) and graduated from Central High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In high school, she worked at Woolworths making caramel corn. After high school she worked as a secretary at Lincoln Life Insurance Company. She took time out to be a full-time wife and mother to Wendy and Holli. Eventually, she went back to work as a receptionist for the Adjustment Bureau and later as an underwriting assistant for K&K Insurance, where she worked until she retired.
In younger years she enjoyed cooking, baking, and hosting parties for family and friends. Taking care of family, sewing/making clothes, and crafting. Crafts extended to card making, which will be missed by all. In later years, crafts were replaced by reading and Hallmark movies.
Rosemary is survived by husband, James Clark; daughters, Wendy Clark Dinius (Mark), and Holli Clark Sauer (Eric); only grandson, Michael North; brothers, Walter Guenin (Lydia), Lary Guenin (Sandi), and Michael Guenin; sister, Sandra Bennett; foster brother, Robert Lane; and many nieces and nephews.
She was blessed with only one grandson and she was immensely proud of the man that he is rapidly becoming. She bragged about his grades and ability to play football. Rosemary was also blessed with a large family on both the Guenin and Clark sides and had extended and “adopted family” as she used to write to military men and women and would send them cookies and other things needed.
Spring was her favorite season, but Christmas was her favorite holiday. She loved the decorating, giving presents, the gatherings with family and friends, and celebrating the birth of Jesus and later her own baby girl (Holli's), birthday.
Her humor and love were present in everything she did. Although extremely sick for the last 2 months, she always tried to stay positive and used humor to hide fear and pain. She was always worried about not putting out the staff and was worried about the wellbeing and my dad and myself as we were with her through the hospital stays, the rehab center, and finally the hospice center. Her strength, love, compassion, and humor will be missed, but forever remembered.
