Rosemary Josephine Mohlman, 87, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Born on February 20, 1938, in the small farming town of Olpe, Kansas, she was the daughter of Carl and Anna Lyons Snider. She was number 16 of 17 children, seven boys and ten girls.
Rosemary decided to visit her brother, Jerry Snider, and traveled to Logansport, Indiana, where she met her future husband, Louis Mohlman Sr. They were married in 1960 and enjoyed 59 years together. Rosemary helped Lou run Mohlman Jewelers that his father started and helped him grow his financial planning practice. When the family moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1985, she worked at JC Penny’s in their fine jewelry department.
Rosemary was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Fort Wayne and previously of All Saints Catholic Church in Logansport. She faithfully attended weekly Mass and daily watched the livestream of morning Mass. For decades, Rosemary maintained the Infant of Prague statue at St. Vincent. Lou and Rosemary kept a lifelong devotion to the Infant of Prague and credited Lou’s Novena to their meeting.
Rosemary enjoyed hosting gatherings, especially her famous Thanksgiving Day for the entire extended family, her daily Rob Roy cocktail, and relished being Nana to her many grandchildren. She exemplified marital fidelity in dutifully taking meticulous care of Lou during his final years.
Surviving are her four children, Louis (Mary) Mohlman Jr. of Fort Wayne, Anna Marie Mohlman-Wright of Fort Wayne, Michael (Nadine) Mohlman of Fort Wayne, and Matthew (Joan) Mohlman of Westfield; brother, Larry Snider of Wichita, Kansas; and sister, Donna (George) McMillan of Wyoming.
