Rosemary "Rosey" C. Rounds

Rosemary "Rosey" C. Rounds, 86, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Kingston Residence in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Rosey was a 1950 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She worked as a correspondence clerk with North American Van Lines for 18 years, retiring in 1989. Rosey was a charter member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and was active in the Rosary Society and The Script Program. She also volunteered at St. Andrew's Soup Kitchen. Above all Rosey was a devoted wife and mother. She was a woman of strong faith and she will be greatly missed. Surviving are her sons, Gregg (Joyce) Rounds and Todd (Beth) Rounds both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Rhonda (Mike) Kahlert of Decatur, IN and Lori (Kevin) King of Fishers, IN; brother, Donald (Judy) Mattes of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Chad Rounds, Justin (Emily) Rounds, Ashley (Quenton) Benya, Jennifer Kahlert, and Benjamin Kahlert; three step-grandchildren Samantha (Jessie) Smith, Chase Granay, and Dakotah Granay; and five great-grandchildren. Rosey was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Rounds; her parents John C. and Regina C. Mattes; and sister, Viola "Bertie" Tagtmeyer. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd with an hour of calling prior to the Mass. Calling at D.O. McComb and Sons-Maplewood 4017 Maplecrest Road, Friday, August 31, 2018, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary Service at 7:30 pm. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
