SanJuanita A. Mendoza

SanJuanita A. Mendoza, 54, of Fort Wayne, passed away on January 29, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital. Born March 9, 1966 in La Feria, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Mendoza and Romana (Aguero) Mendoza, who survives and resides in Fort Wayne. SanJuanita studied teaching at Ivy Tech and had been employed as a teacher’s assistant at East Wayne Head Start in her younger years. She enjoyed playing Candy Crush, collecting elephant figurines, pillows, and pictures, and doodling on a sketch pad and phone. A woman of deep faith, she was a prayer warrior, very helpful, and took care of others before herself. She treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and loved them very much. She is survived by her children, Kristina Mendoza, Mark Montgomery Jr., and Mariah Diaz, all of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren, Araya, Azazel, Mason, Isabella, Kaliyah, Aaliyah, DeNelle, and Malakai; significant other, Kenneth Alexander of Fort Wayne; siblings, Samuel Mendoza Jr., Michele Mendoza, Felipe Mendoza, and Elaine Mendoza, all of Fort Wayne; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
