Sarah May Ade

Sarah "Sally" M. Ade, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday January 20, 2022. She was the daughter of William and Margaret (Hiner) Hight of Alexandria, IN. Sally had participated in the Altar Guild at Trinity Episcopal Church, Creighton-Home Neighborhood Association, Fort Wayne CETA and UNICEF activities, Northeast Indiana POETS, Poetry Society of Indiana and was a published Poet, winning a national award for her works. She is survived by sons, John and Charles (Helen) Ade, of Fort Wayne; daughters, Patricia (Al) Hansen of Fort Wayne, Alicia Ade-Kuhn of Moneta, VA, and Melissa Pollard of Madison, FL; grandchildren, Amber and Skye Hansen, Lydia and Carly Ade of Fort Wayne, Jacob (Kara) Kuhn of Huntersville, NC, Joshua and Hannah Pollard, of Madison, FL, step-grandchild Autumn Smith and two step-great grandchildren of Vancouver, WA, and four of her eleven siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Jack Ade) and several siblings, including twin sister, Kay (Kinnaman) Sims. Memorial service is 11:00 AM Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819, with burial following at St. Peter's Cemetery in Huntington, IN.
