Sarah Jean Todd, 92, passed away August 10, 2023, at Cedarhurst of Fort Wayne. She was born July 14, 1931, in Vincennes, IN, the daughter of John Theodore and Anna Louise Reep. Sarah graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School in 1949 and earned her Associates from Vincennes University.
After growing up in Vincennes, she raised her family in Indianapolis. She and her husband Don were members of multiple social clubs and country clubs. They also loved to travel. Sarah enjoyed playing bridge and was in many bridge clubs over the years. They spent summers at Lake Wawasee. Her final years were in Fort Wayne to be near family. She attended Methodist churches wherever she lived.
She is survived by her son William (Denise) Ecklor of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Benjamin (Leah) Ecklor of Germany, Bethany (Robert) Goetz of Indianapolis, IN, Donna (Alex) Johanningsmeier of Fort Wayne, IN, Sammy Ecklor of Camby, IN; great-grandchildren Isabella, Sabine, Sebastian, Alexandria, Nora, Daisy, and Jean.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Todd, in 2016 and daughter, Melinda Ecklor.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
