Saundra Kay Machnowski, 85, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025. She was born on March 21, 1940, in Litchfield, Illinois, daughter of the late Leroy and Faye Lucille (Angle) Overholt. Saundra worked as a homemaker, caring for her home and family, as well as working for a number of businesses throughout her life. She enjoyed playing bingo and pull tabs, along with spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Chester William Machnowski, Jr., of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Deborah (Ray) Dayhoff of Worthington, Indiana; grandchildren, Richard Machnowski and Amanda Machnowski, great grandchild, Ivy; brother, David W. (Loretta) Overholt of Thomasboro, Illinois; and sister, Pamela L. (Ray) Lawrence of Monticello, Illinois. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Chester William Machnowski, Sr.; sister, Wilma M. Busboom; and brothers, Russel L. Overholt and Larry D. Overholt. Visitation for Saundra will be held Monday, September 29, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11:30 AM at Covington Memorial Gardens, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804.
