Scott L. Brewer, 60, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Born in Marion, IN, Scott worked as a City Arborist with the City of Carmel, IN for 10 years, retiring in 2010. He was a member of Fellowship Missionary Church, past president of Indiana Arborist Association, member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, and was an alumni of Wabash College. He enjoyed poetry, photography, and loved music. Surviving are his wife, Deborah S. Closson of Fort Wayne; father, Robert L. (Christine) Brewer of Tuscon, AZ; daughters, Emily M. (Jordan) Simmons of Carmel, IN, Victoria E. Brewer of L.A., CA, and Sophia K. Brewer of Carmel, IN; brothers, Roy C. Bailey of Fort Wayne and Aaron Brewer of Tucson, AZ; sister, Benita (Chris Colwell) Brewer of Chicago, IL; step-sons, John David (Desirè) Closson, II, of Fort Wayne and Andrew (Jacinta) Closson of Fort Wayne, IN; and seven grandchildren. Scott was preceded in death by mother, Faye Brewer and brother, Craig Brewer. Service is 11:00 am, Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Fellowship Missionary Church, 2536 East Tillman Road with one hour of calling prior to the service.
