Sharon Lee Grimes

Sharon Lee Grimes, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born May 27, 1939 in Fort Wayne to Vernon and Elinor (Fowler) Smith. She enjoyed baking, garage sales, doing word search puzzles and taking trips to the zoo. She loved animals and loved planting and growing flowers. She was a kind-hearted, sweet lady who loved to help people. She was a wonderful mother and loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Kevin (Tammy Dunnington) Smith, Susan Alvey, Karen (Jeff) Gibson and Tim (Tresa) Meyers; three grandchildren, Tanya Fuhrman (Joe Mendoza), Lauren (Sean) McCrory and Kristin Meyers (Zachary Fowler); five great-grandchildren, Paige and Camryn Fuhrman, Ava Mendoza, Olivia and Everett Fowler and another one to be here soon; two sisters, Diane Breininger and Lynne (Melvin) Ginger and a brother, Vernon Smith, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Oscar Meyers; great-granddaughter, Violet Vay Meyers and a sister, Judy Chavaria. A funeral service celebrating Sharon’s life will be at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at C.M. Sloan and Son’s Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808.
