Shirley Ann Foltz, 86, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on January 11, 2025 which would have been her 67th wedding anniversary. She was born August 22,1938, in Fort Wayne to the late Lynn and Evelyn Madden and attended Elmhurst High School.
Shirley worked for Southwest Allen County Schools as the school lunch treasurer and was the original Homestead “lunch lady”, joyfully serving students for 49 years. She adored her horses and dogs, embracing whole-heartedly the lifelong dedication and care they required.
Shirley is survived by her brother, Larry (Mavis) Madden; children, Scott (Kathy) Foltz, Lisa (Randy) Troutner, Todd (Michelle) Foltz and Rick (Bobbie) Foltz; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Guy (Tug) Foltz, Jr.
The family will receive friends and family from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes – Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Funeral Service is 11:00 am, Monday, January 20, 2025 at the funeral home, with calling one hour prior. Burial with a private ceremony will be held at Covington Memorial Cemetery.
