SOPHIA K. HOOVER, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at her residence. Born Nov. 30, 1920, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Victoria (Kotyla) Kelak. She worked at L.S. Ayres as a Clerk for 19 years. Surviving are daughters, Sylvia (Dennis) Scheumann of Decatur and Laura Sink of Fort Wayne; son, Stanley (Sara) Hoover M.D. of Chicago; eight grandchildren, Margo Hoover Regan, Lisa Murray, Jason and Joshua Scheumann, Holly Reay and Joseph and Justin Dreyer; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John William; and daughter, Kathleen Dreyer. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road with Pastor Greg smith officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
