

Stewart (Stu) Weldon Trulock, 92, passed away Friday Dec 10 in his home in Columbia City surrounded by family. He was born Feb. 2, 1918 in Austin, IN. He graduated from South Side High School in 1936.. He worked his entire life in men’s retail, working for many noted companies, Wolf & Dessauer‘s, Richman Bros., Morrel’s Men’s Wear, and Patterson & Fletchers . He purchased Morrel’s Men’s Wear in 1962 and renamed it Trulock’s Men’s Wear and owned and operated it until 1974. He completed his retail career at L.S.Ayres & Co. in 1982. He was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church for 80 yrs and the Prisilla Aquilla class.. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, Masons, Mizpah Shrine., and also a past member of Indiana Beekeepers Assoc. Daddy was always very proud of his large family and their many accomplishments. He built his summer dream home on Pretty Lake where he enjoyed fishing & swimming with his family and friends He moved to his farm in Whitley County in 1968. He was married to his loving wife Eileen for 62 years. She preceded him in death in 2002. His son James, proceeded him in death in 2009. He was the last living member of his immediate family of 8 children. Surviving are daughters, Sandra (Don) Korte of Fort Wayne, Susan (Doug) Hontz, of Manning, South Carolina, “the twins” Marlene (Robert) Addison, and Darlene (Barry) Nelson, both of Columbia City, and “the caboose” Kenneth (Tami) Trulock of Fort Wayne, 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Service is 11:00 am. Wednesday, Dec. 15 at Simpson United Methodist Church with calling 2 hours prior. Visitation is Tuesday from 4:30 - 9:00 pm at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St.. Stu will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Parkview Home Health Care and Hospice. A dinner for Stu’s family and friends will be held at the Arlington Park Clubhouse from 2 - 6. www.klaehnfahlmelton.com
