She was raised in LaFountaine, Indiana. She loved taking care of hummingbirds and monarch butterflies. Susan worked for FWCS for 35+ years as a teacher and librarian passing on her love of reading. Susan had a love for the lake, water aerobics and working out at the YMCA. She was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church.
Susan is survived by her children, David (Shauna) Rupert and Carolyn Rupert; grandchildren, Noah Sutton, Malcolm Rupert and Emalyn Rupert.
Susan is preceded in death by her husband, James Rupert.
A memorial gathering will be on Monday, July 29, 2024, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home Pine Valley, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, from 1:00 pm until 2:45 pm. A rosary will begin at 2:45 pm at the funeral home.
