Tony Lee Cayot

Tony Cayot, age 69, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 8th, 2021 at Grey Stone Nursing Home in Fort Wayne, IN. He was the proud father of two children - Brett (wife, Belinda) of Fort Collins, CO and Stephanie (husband, John) of Bloomington, IN. From Stephanie, he had one granddaughter (Benezet) and two step-grandsons (Judah and Jasper). Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Manford Cayot, and brothers Ron and Craig. He is survived by his sister, Carla. Tony was a 1971 graduate of New Haven High School. With a family interest in photography, he went on to become a Nikon certified photographer and worked at McJon camera store. He almost always carried a professional camera and would often ask to take your photo. He later founded Caypin Industries and became a realtor at Century 21 Bradley. He enjoyed spectating and photographing the Indianapolis 500. With a strong will and spirit, his motto was to always smile, which he often did with an unlit cigar. Visitation for family and friends of Tony will be held at Don Hall’s Gas House in Fort Wayne, IN on Friday, October 15, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please pass along a happy memory of him to his kids.
