Traci always followed her own path, choosing to be who she was regardless of how popular it made her. She chose to enlist in the Air Force when other family members choose to serve in the Navy and Army. Traci was especially proud of her 16 years of service to her country and enjoyed her deployments to Greece and South Korea. Traci had other deployments, including her time as a recruiter.
Traci took an active role when she could in helping family. She taught her nieces to drive, cook, and crochet, and was quick to allow family members to share her home. Traci was proud and content with being “Aunt Traci” to over 30 nieces and nephews. Being able to spend her last moments with nieces and nephews is exactly what she would have wanted.
Her horoscope for her last day with us described her appropriately. It reads, “No one else has walked your exact path, seen the world through your eyes or felt the precise combination of emotions that make up your inner landscape. This individuality is a kind of magic – an energy that only you can bring to the world.”
Traci leaves her brothers, Mike (Tracie) Loy, Marty Loy, Ronnie Loy; and sisters, Laurie Huttsell and Robyn (Dave) Fivecoate. Additionally, she leaves over 35 nieces and nephews along with special friends Georgy in Florida and Ray in China. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Loretta Loy; and a brother, Grigori.
Traci will be laid to rest at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana on April 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
