Valeria Leota (Timm) Gerdom was called home to the Lord in her sleep September 21, 2015. Born in New Ulm, MN, on October 23, 1930, she was joined in marriage June 7, 1952, to Walter F. Gerdom Jr., who preceded her in eternal rest. She leaves her sons, Garry (Linda) Gerdom of Valparaiso and Gregory Gerdom of Ft. Wayne; grandchildren, Gaelyn (Adam) Mylnarcik of Valparaiso, and Graeme Gerdom of Chicago; great grandchildren, Owen Thomas, Gabriel Gerdom, and Grayson Gerdom, all of Valparaiso; sister in-law Mrs. James (Gerdom) Crosbie; and, special friend, Jewel “Julie” Hutmacher, along with nieces and nephews to cherish her memory. Valeria enjoyed her family and serving Peace Lutheran Church in various roles throughout her life.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 11 am Friday, Sept 25, 2015 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Rd., with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the funeral home.
