Edgar, Viola Ann (Mrs. E), age 100, passed away on December 10, 2025 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born in Winchester, Illinois in 1925, was married in 1948 to Roy G. Edgar, who died in 1969. She was employed by Western Union, then later retired from Kitch Acceptance Corporation after 22 years. She is survived by her son, Donald L. Edgar; daughter, Deitra K. Edgar-Singleton; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, David and one great-grandson, Alex. She was a member of First Baptist Church for more than 65 years. There will be a funeral service held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 1:30pm located at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Burial will follow immediately after services at Prairie Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you may make memorial contributions in her honor to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
