

Virginia (Ginny) A. Gray, age 90, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at her home. Ginny was born on 4-18-1928 in Muskegon, MI to William H. and Hazel W. (Hillier) Dostert. She graduated from Muskegon Heights High School. On August 27, 1948, she married her husband of 70 years, Jack Gray in Muskegon, MI. Survivors include her husband, children; Kym (Kevin) Kaiser of Fort Wayne, Gary (Cynthia) Gray of Adrian, MI, Grandchildren; Brandon (Therese) Bossard, Korey (Berny) Kelly, Brad (Shallon) Gray, and Doug (Valerie) Gray, and 8 great-grandchildren. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers; Vincent and William Dostert.
Ginny, first and foremost, was devoted to her family, the joy and light of her life. She served as the first female Special Deputy Sheriff in Allen County. She also served as a clerk during election days. Ginny, along with Jack, organized and hosted seminars for Gray Institute for 25 years. She enjoyed traveling, dinning out, taking care of her roses and excelled in her baking and canning skills to the delight of her family. Ginny’s greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and friends. She was a constant blessing to so many. The service of celebration of Ginny’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 1pm with calling 2 hours prior from 11am-1pm at The Chapel, 2505 West Hamilton Road South, Fort Wayne, IN.
