Walter James Hoffman

Walter James Hoffman, age 83 of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on April 20, 2024. He was born on May 30, 1940, to the late Duewy and Virginia Hoffman. He was formally employed at Preferred Incorporated for 18 years and then worked for Walmart for 12 years. Walter is survived by his loving wife, Susan C. (Burke) Hoffman, a son, Jason Hoffman; step-daughters, Regina (Robert) Thomas and Leila Wheaton; a brother, Neil Hoffman; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Steele; a brother, Eddie Hoffman; a step son-in-law, Kevin Wheaton. A visitation for Walter will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana, followed by a funeral at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Highland Park Cemetery, 2403 E Wallen Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
