Warren Robert Colby

WARREN R. COLBY, 91, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Born in Crookston, Minn., he was the son of the late Harry E. and Ella C. (Johnson) Colby. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Radio Technician. He was an insurance agent. Memberships include V.F.W. life time member, Sertoma Club, and the LST Association. He enjoyed bowling, hunting for arrow heads and gardening. Surviving are his wife, Hillis; children, Ronald (Kathryn) of Minnetonka, Minn., Janice Richey of Waterloo, Ind., Richard Colby and Judy Colby, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Bryanne, Casey, Chris (Heather) High, Jenny (Drew) Teigland, Jeff (Jen) Richey, Melissa (Matt) Boyd, and Kacie, Ryan; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded him in death by two brothers, Howard and Wayne Colby. Funeral service is 10 a.m Friday, May 23, 2014, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
