My sympathies to the Fitzgerald family, I am sorry for your Loss. I was a member of the Homestead wrestling team and remember Bill and his brother Bob. Always in good spirits.  As one of the other sets of twins at HHS from 78-81 I am saddened by his passing. We never really understand how mortal we are.  May God Bless

I had the privilege of being Bill's pastor while he was in Kokomo.  I have missed his attitude and friendliness.  He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.  He was...and remains...an inspiration.

I have been friends with Bill's niece, Jessica, for many years. Every memory I have of Bill he had a smile on his face! I really enjoyed spending time with Bill and Anne at Jessica and Mike's wedding in the Bahamas. My sympathies to Anne and all of Bill's loved ones.

I am sitting here writting this with a piece of my heart missing. What can you say about someone who no matter what he was going through had a smile on his face and ended up making you feel better. I will miss our talks and "coffee" time more than you will know, you taught me the true meaning of unconditional love and for this I am thankful. I love you my Billy Boy and will miss you always

My sympathies to the Fitzgerald family for the loss of Bill.
My name is Dan Hedberg (48, 1980 graduate) and I had the privilege to be friends with Bill and Bob during my time at Homestead High School.  I have awesome memories of both boys as the managers for the football and wrestling team.  Always a smile, always a “good job” comment from them.  I can still see their curly black hair, encouraging smile and received a pat on the back or “high five” coming off the field and mat.  Both made a very positive impression on me and to this day I recall and enjoy our time together. 
 I moved from Fort Wayne in 1978 (after sophomore year).  In July ’78 my brother Dave, ’78 Homestead graduate, (wrestling champion) died in a parachuting accident and both Bill and Bob shared their sympathies in our time of sorrow…I appreciate that.
Know that Bill and Bob are very special men.  From the comments I’ve reviewed they continued to have a great influence on the people they touched. 
Praise God for their lives and influence on others and I look forward to meeting with them in heaven.

Our condolences to Anna, the family, & loved ones in the lose of a very unique person. Bill was a blessing to us. When we would see him at Kroger, New Beginnings, or even in the hospital we always feel like we were the one that had been one who had been ministered to. His out look on live no matter what situation he was in was always one of thankfulness. A lesson to remember. We will miss him dearly, but are so grateful to know he is with the Lord and we will see him again.

I was deeply saddened to read about Bill's passing. I only had the pleasure of knowing Bill while he was sick and in the hospital in Kokomo. Even then, I could tell what an amazing person he was. He touched my heart and I would like to think that I am a better person for knowing him. God Bless Anne, Dave & the entire Fitzgerald family.

Bill was a great uncle and always had a smile on his face.  He was so excited about the small things in life that we often forget. He was greatly loved and will be missed!

Bill always had a ready smile in high school and was the eternal optimist.  He will be missed.  My dad was his guidance counselor in high school and he always had good things to say about Bill and Bob.  I imagine the 3 of them will meet up and have a good laugh.  The Fitzgerald family will be in my thoughts during this difficult time.

Dear Anne,  Please accept our condolences for Bill's homecoming to the Lord.  We will miss you at church.  Just know that you are loved!

So sorry to hear of your loss.  Bill was a loved member of our congregation.  He and Anne brought such happiness with them where ever they went.  I remember when Bill won the Chili Cook Off at church.  He was just beaming,  He will be missed by all who knew him.

i drove annie and bill to the doctor and to the drugstore and grocery.They were so appreciative of me doing this.I got the blessing.
 I am so  thankful that Bill and Annie recieved Christ as their savior at New Beginnings before Bill got sick.That is what got bill through the dark days when he lay in the hospital.I can still see Annie on the front row of the church praising God when we sang.What a joy they both were when they handed out bookmarks that they had made.I will truely miss them.

Bill had a presence that could light up a room.  Anytime he was around, you couldn't help but smile. He had an optimism about life that was so encouraging. It was always great seeing him and Anne at church services. He will be missed.

Bill was truly a great person. I think back often to our days in High School and how much he loved taking care of the Sports Teams. I was always amazed how much he loved his team-mates and how dedicated, generous and skilled he was at taking care of us. Rest in Peace Bill....You will be missed my brother....

I will never forget the memories Bill provided our High School Sports teams at Homestead. He touched so many lives with his smile, dedication, thoroughness and love for his team-mates. I can not count how many times I have drifted back and smiled at the fun we shared. Those memories will never be forgotten and neither will Bill. Rest in Peace my brother.

We loved Bill so much because he loved our daughter. He was such a wonderful husband. When Bill was in the hospital he apologized for not being able to take care of Anne !! He gave Anne a life we never could have imagined. His family is like Bill--really great.   Joe and Barbara Kinter
