WILLIAM J. TAYLOR, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016. Bill was born in Blackford County, Ind. and, after having served in the U.S. Army, he went to work for Overhead Door Company in Hartford City. In 1960, he became the co-owner of the Overhead Door Company of Fort Wayne until his retirement in 1995. Having spent many years coaching and sponsoring Little League baseball teams, Bill enjoyed watching his grandchildren compete in a variety of sports. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing at Coldwater Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife Imogene (Needler). He is survived by his sons, Craig (Erin) of Angola and Gregg (Karen) of Fort Wayne; four granchildren, John (Abbey) Taylor, Abbey (Daniel) Davis, Holly Taylor, Zach Taylor; and one great-grandchild, Vivian Taylor. Per Bill's wishes, there will be no public service. He will be entombed at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials may be made to Foster Park Little League.
