Willie Lee Johnson, age 73, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Heritage Park Nursing Facilities. The Brickey, Arkansas native accepted Christ at an early age. He was ordained February 8, 1994. After moving to Fort Wayne he became a member of Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Fred R. Morris.
Left to cherish his memory, are three brothers, Chester (Clementene) Johnson of Marianna, Arkansas, Clarence Johnson of Fort Wayne, Carl (Pam) Johnson of Saginaw, Michigan; two sisters, both of Fort Wayne, Erma (Aaron) Blackshear and Arnetta (Sherlock) Harrison; a sister-in-law, Althea Wells-Johnson of Sugar Hill, Georgia; aunt, Elle Jones of Marianna; special friends of the family, Carmen Hernandez and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Essie Johnson Sr. and brothers Edward Johnson Jr. and Robert L. Johnson.
A visitation for Willie will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with service to follow at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 425 Agnes Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46806.
