Mother Reed was born to Girtha and David Williams on September 22nd, 1938, in Washington Parish Louisiana. Mother Reed was called home to be with the Lord on December 31st, 2022, because the assignment that the Lord had given her was completed. Mom, Momo, Big Mama, Mother Reed, Altee, Adline and Black were names that she went by, and some were just given to her. She was outspoken, loving, and she met a friend everywhere she went, she never met a stranger.
Mother Reed was saved and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost at a very early Aged. Born and raised in Louisiana she was a member of several different churches during her lifetime; one being James Chapel COGIC where Amel Quillen Sr. was pastor, and Lear Hill COGIC under the leadership of Elder Leslie Fields and when she decided to move here to Fort Worth, she chose Crouch’s Time of Harvest COGIC to be her church home under the Leadership of Superintendent Randie Boyd where she attended until the Lord called her home.
As a mother she taught, she preached, she corrected us, she loved us, and she forgave us. Several things that she would often tell all of her children, Grandchildren and also great grandchildren was that; a) we all have to go one day but before you go make sure that you have the Holy Ghost because you need it to make it into heaven, b) get the Lord in your life when you have the Holy Ghost you can live right, c) learn how to forgive because you cannot make it into heaven with unforgiveness in your heart, d) and also treat people right regardless of how they treat you because you have to try to make it into heaven. Mom wanted and intended to tell of the goodness of Jesus by spreading the Word of God which she always did. When we would go over to visit her, we would always hear her on the phone telling of the goodness of God and about salvation and how everyone needs to be saved and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
She is preceded in death by Both of her Parents David and Girtha Williams. Her daughter Edith Reed Ladner, Son Joseph Reed, granddaughter Desiree Denise, Grandsons Justin Nichols and Deonta Reed, brothers Jo Ray Williams, Peter Williams, and Jessie Williams, Sisters Eldoria Harris, Mary Lee Francis and her twin sister Luna Marie Page, and son-n-law Joseph Ladner

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only but, unto all of them also that love his appearing 2ND Timothy 4:7-8
