
Alton Coolidge Randolph took the hand of the Lord on Sunday May 8, 2016. Service: 2 pm Friday at Laurel Land Chapel of the Chimes. Visitation is from 12 pm unit 2 pm prior to service. Interment is at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Alton was born on February 14, 1925 to Claude and Ruth Randolph in Lawrence County, Alabama. Alton served his country in WWII, stationed in the Philippines as a medic. He retired from driving the subway at Tandy Corp in Fort Worth, although he also held various other positions within the company. Alton gave of his time to his church. He volunteered as a janitor when his children were little at Rosemont Baptist Church. More recently he served as a Deacon and very active member of South Hills Baptist Church. Alton loved to sing, dance and play his guitar. His family remembers him as a man full of joy, always entertaining the people around him. Alton was friendly to everyone. Striking up conversations and before you know it was singing and dancing for his new friends. He was known to do this just about anywhere. Alton shared his love with family, friends and strangers. He was a devoted Christian, loving husband and doting father, grandfather and great grandfather. In his spare time he enjoyed being outside and fishing. He has joined in Heaven his parents, wife of 60 years, Mattie; four siblings; grandsons, Gabriel Randolph, Keith Tomlin; great grandson HM2 Clayton Beauchamp (8-7-2012, Afghanistan). He has left to cherish his memory children, Brenda Atchison, Randy Randolph and wife Cindy, Michael Randolph and wife Laura; grandchildren, Diana Tomlin and husband jack, Debbie McBride and husband James, Susan Brook and husband James, Justin Randolph and wife Heather, Summer McAmis and husband Mike, Stacey Mund and husband Justin, Kally Seets and husband Chris, Ashley Randolph, Brittany Randolph; great grandchildren, Tim, Spencer, Nathan, Josh, Justin, Cheyenne, Phillip, Randall, Alexis, Madison, MacKenzie, Ever, Hudson, Connor; great great grandchildren, Malachi, Trinity, Jordan; sister, Joyce Pinkerton; numerous nieces and nephews.
