Service: 3 p.m. Thursday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, visitation 2-3 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Graveside service: 3 p.m. Friday at Forest Park Lawndale, Houston, TX.

Gene was born October 2, 1917 in Pecos, TX to Albert and Grace (Daniels) Pinkston. She retired from the First City National Bank of Houston after 34 years. She was a volunteer for the Memorial Hermann South West Hospital of Houston for eleven years. Gene was a life member of the Columbia Temple #4 Pythian Sisters of Weatherford, TX. She was a gardener and story-teller. She was a longtime member of College Park Baptist Church of Houston, and more recently a member of Haltom Road Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Harlan Williams.

Survivors: Nieces, Audrey and husband Buddy Williams, Beverly and husband Edward Stebbins, and Lois Peery; nephew, Joe and wife Julie Pinkston; great nephews, David Peery and wife Bonnie, Daniel Williams, Austin Pinkston and Edward Stebbins III; great nieces, Rachel and husband Toby Jones and Valeria VanSlyke; great-great nieces, Miranda and husband Dusty Brown, Lauren Peery, Grace and Olivia Jones; sister-in-law, Gloria Pinkston; and numerous other extended family.
