Barbara J Bacon

It is with deep heartfelt regards that we announce the passing of Barbara Bacon who left us on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the age of 79. She was a beloved and faithful servant to the Lord, her family and friends. While we rejoice in her divine promotion, her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her and was touched by her.

Born on May 20, 1946 in Natchez, MS., Barbara was the child of Josephine and Elzie and raised by Elizabeth and Sam Bailey. Throughout her life, Barbara was known for her generous heart, hospitality, deep love for her family and close circle of friends. She devoted her time and energy to caretaking, loved to cook, decorate, was a former Louisiana School System Employee and business owner.

Barbara has joined her husband Bennett W. Bacon in heaven and is survived and shares her legacy through her children: Herman Alvin Simpson, Keyla Dubriel-Brown, Bennetta B. Raby, Monica Bacon and Janice Bacon-West; her sister Labertha Coney; Bonus Sons: Rob Raby and Gary Brown; Grandchildren: Ben, Chandler, Keyland, Cameron, Hannah, Grace, Chelsi and Alex and beautiful great-grandchildren and many more family, friends and caregivers.

The family will provide an intimate Celebration of Life for family and close friends. The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Barbara’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
