Betty was born January 10, 1935 in Greenwood, Texas to parents Dewell and Pearl Foster. She graduated from Paschal High School in 1953. She married Joseph Ward on June 28, 1955. She was married for nearly 57 years to Joe until his passing in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Charles and Roy Foster and her loving husband, Joseph Ward.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Whitener and husband, Jeff, and son, Joseph Chuck Ward and wife, Carla. She has 4 grandchildren, Jon Whitener and wife, Julia, Jennifer Woods, Dr. Ciera Ward, and Cayla Ward; 3 great-grandchildren, Weston Whitener, Noah and Caleb Cox.
