She was born in Elmer, Oklahoma on June 2, 1937 to parents Charlie and Callie Baker. Bobbie graduated from Vernon High School. Bobbie married the love of her life, Mr. Otis R. Burkett Sr. on August 13, 1956 and they were married for 66 years.
Bobbie was a stay at home mom, who lovingly cared for her three sons. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. She was a member of Retta Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her father and mother; Charlie and Callie Baker, her son Michael, sisters, Lorna, Winnie, and brothers; Wennurth and J.C. "Pinky".
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Anthony (Tony) and Otis Jr., grandchildren Hailey, Sarah and Kyle; great-grandchildren Kyleigh and Violet, and sister Patsy and brother Stanley.
A funeral service for Bobbie will be held Monday, October 27, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134, followed by a committal service from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
