Bobette was born in Fort Worth, TX to Lola Sheppard King and Robert Lawing on November 26, 1939. She attended Poly High in Ft. Worth and still kept in touch with some of her friends from high school. She co-owned a property management company for many years until she retired but her favorite job was working as the secretary at Smithfield Elementary School.
Bobette loved her family and family gatherings. Days at the lake when the grandkids were younger were some of her fondest memories with family. She loved all the family camping trips when the kids were younger and in more recent years international traveling. She was a wonderful cook and if you ever received some chicken and dumplings, chocolate cake or a sausage roll from her you were one of the lucky ones. Dogs were one of her greatest passions. She loved living by Chisholm Park and taking Daisy for long walks in the park to meet the other dogs, who always seemed to know she had treats in her pocket.
Bobette is preceded in death by her grandparents Robert and Alta Lawing, her parents Lola Sheppard King and Robert Lawing and brother Don Lawing.
Bobette is survived by daughters, Diane Stout (Tim) and Tara Greene (Brian) and sons, Jim Schooler (Melanie) and Mike Schooler (Lori), sister Lorraine Larrew (Richard) and a cousin that was like a sister, Judy Simpson. Grandchildren Shauna Pavlat (Preston), Shey Stout, Sarah Lee (Bryan), Christian Schooler, Megan Ledbetter (Daniel), Tiffany Mitchell (Casey), Mikala Romine (Nick), Ashley Greene and 8 Great grandchildren and one on the way. Also survived by sister-in-law Nancy Lawing, several cousins, and Daisy, her faithful 4-legged companion.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hurst Animal Shelter https://www.hursttx.gov/about-us/departments/police-department/hurst-animal-services-and-adoption-center/welcome or Metroport Meals on Wheels www.metroportmow.org

We would also like to thank the first-floor nursing staff at Texas Health HEB for their thoughtful and compassionate care of Memommy during her last few days, along with her sweet neighbors who were always watching out for her and jumping in to help if she needed anything
