Winters consists of Carol skiing, skating, building igloos, and snowball fights. At the age of 16, her father accepted a job in Fort Worth, Texas. Carol graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1958 and entered Texas Wesleyan University where she majored in Home Economics and minored in History. This allowed her to travel to places in the United States and Canada. In 1964, Carol met Richard Griesbach and was married on August 20, 1966. After having her two sons Allen and Steven, Carol got a third degree in Elementary education and retired after 37 years of teaching. After retirement, Carol used her spare time to enjoy her hobbies such as sewing, reading, and traveling with her sister Joan. Carol states, “God has blessed me greatly over the years, I thank Him for a good life.”
