Carolyn was born August 16, 1947, in Rising Star, Texas to Malcolm "M.G." Key and Lavern Croft Key. She was raised in Eastland before moving to Fort Worth over 45 years ago. She was a tireless volunteer and fundraiser for many wonderful charities such as Rape Crisis, the United Way, Multiple Sclerosis, breast cancer, heart disease, the Mental Health Association and the Careity Foundation. She loved social events, traveling, gambling, and a good glass of wine. Without fail, her friends and family were always her first priority.
She was preceded in death by her father, M.G. Key; and previous husband, Joe Paul Jones.
Survivors: Loving husband, Jesse Fatherree III; mother, Lavern Key; daughters, Kristi Jones, Shelley Slatton Sims and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Kenneth and Colton; brother, Steve Key and wife, Loretta, and their children, Heather and Cody.
