Charles was born to Richard Gilliam and Katherine Green Gilliam .
On April 1, 2021 he was proceeded in death by his much-loved wife of 54 years, Mary Gilliam.
Those left to cherish his memories are daughters, Charvelvia Gilliam Johnson, Tina Campbell-Oaks and Charla Gilliam; son, Jerome Campbell; brothers, Alfred Gilliam, Tommie Gilliam and Stanley Gilliam; sisters, Faye Nell Swain and Brinda Loud; aunt, May Helen Morris; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
