Cynthia Hartman Wiggins, born Cynthia Nell Hale, lovingly known as Cindy and affectionately called “Nana” by her family, passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of September 16th at the age of 84. Born on January 26, 1941, in Alex, Oklahoma, to Naomi and Rufus “R.C.” Hale Sr. Cindy lived a life marked by grace, service, and unwavering faith.
Her smile was a constant—radiating warmth, kindness, and the quiet joy of someone who walked closely with God. Cindy’s relationship with her Savior was the cornerstone of her life. She was a devoted member of The Hills Church in North Richland Hills, Texas, where her faith flourished and her spirit uplifted those around her. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she treated others—with compassion, humility, and a heart full of gratitude.
Cindy was a beloved wife to William Wiggins and a proud grandmother to Kody and Kiki, and Great Grandmother to Colt, who will forever carry her legacy of love and faith. She dedicated many years of her life to public service, retiring from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office after 23 years of honor and distinction.
Her life was a testament to the power of faith, family, and kindness. Though she has gone home to be with the Lord, her light continues to shine in the lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.
A celebration of her life will be held at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, in Cindy’s name, in honor of her lifelong commitment to helping others and her walk with Christ.
