Danford Marion Ellis

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Danford Marion Ellis, who left us January 31, 2025 at the age of 85. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His presence will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Born in the Pine Grove Community, Danford Marion Ellis was the child of Newt and Jamye Ellis. Throughout his life Dan was known for his caring and loving character. Above all else, Dan loved serving our Lord in his community churches. He served his country through the Navy, Army, and Air Force Reserve. Dan retired from Miller Brewing and then he enjoyed working on his childhood home place located in the Pine Grove community in Arkansas.

Danford Marion Ellis is survived with deep sorrow by his wife, Dora Lochridge Ellis; his children, son - Dana W. Ellis, wife, Kim; Daughter, Jamye Lynn Dennis; five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Brothers; Frank Ellis, George Ellis; sister, Emma Beck, and many more family and friends.

Danford Marion Ellis was preceded in death by his mother and father, Newt and Jamye Ellis; grandson, Skylar Ray Lucas; sister, Minnie Dell Ellis Wolfe.

The family invites family and friends to a celebration of life at Laurel Land Funeral Home on Tuesday February 25, 2025 at 11am with a burial to follow at DFW National Veterans Cemetery.

The family deeply appreciates the outpouring love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Danford's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
