Daniel Rowan Kratz was born July 27, 1935 in Meridian, Mississippi. He moved to Denver, Colorado where he met and married the love of his life, Claudine Sewald. In 1973, he moved his wife and wonderful family of four children to Fort Worth, Texas where he was transferred by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.
Dan retired from Goodyear after 38 years of service. He traveled the Western territory of the U.S. and always managed to come home with a few more friends and jokes. After a week's travel, Friday nights were always anticipated with joy and excitement when he returned home to his family.
Upon retirement, Dan was able to pursue his love of golf, where he volunteered as a marshal and played as frequently as he could. One of his greatest joys after playing many years of golf was his memorable hole-in-one! He also enjoyed traveling with a group of friends that called themselves the "Fearsome Foursome," where every trip was a cherished adventure with great stories to share over his lifetime.
Dan went home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2021. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 64 years, Claudine, his brother Joe Kratz and wife Lois, Dan's four children Denise Richardson and husband Richard, Debbie Conaway, Daniel Kratz Jr. and wife Carissa, and Dawn Ramirez and husband Casimiro. He also had nine grandchildren who were his pride and joy, as well as the blessing of three great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
