

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Walter Hutto Sr. who left us on August 23, 2025, at the age of 89. He was a beloved husband, father, and friend and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Born on January 24, 1936, in Waynesboro, MS, David Walter Hutto, Sr., was the child of J-Hack Hutto and Mae Ollie Stevison Hutto. Throughout his life, David Walter Hutto, Sr., was known for his devotion to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He worked as an auto mechanic, and later as an electrician. He loved playing golf, watching sports, traveling, and cruising. He devoted his time and energy to church as a deacon and greeter. He also spent many hours working at Turning Point Church, Ft. Worth, TX, using his skills doing electrical wiring as the church building was being constructed.
David Walter Hutto Sr. is survived with deep sorrow by older son, David Wayne Hutto Jr. (Nadina), son Gregory Scott Hutto; and daughter, Julie Annette Hutto Kirby (Tim); grandchildren: Skylar, London, Maggie, Tate, and Emmy; and Sister, Katey Jean Hutto Dixon.
David Walter Hutto Sr. was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Cochran Hutto; dad and mom, J-Hack and Mae Ollie Hutto; and brother, James Harold Hutto.
The family invites relatives and friends to a celebration of David Walter Hutto Sr.’s life on September 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM, to be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home. The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. David Walter Hutto Sr.’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
