David Earl Jordan Sr.

David was born Oct 15th, 1954 in Memphis, Texas to Odessa Smith Jordan and Olden Jordan. He moved to Plainview at an early age and attended Booker T. Washington and later graduated from Plainview High School in 1973. He enlisted in the Army in 1974 thru 1977. After returning home from the army he attended Wayland Baptist College. After college David went to work for Shamrock Oil and Gas in Abernathy, Texas. David met Rena Ross in 1983 in Lubbock Texas and later married and had 2 sons David Jordan Jr, and Olden Jordan. David’s job later transferred him to Southlake Texas where he spent 40 years before retiring in 2019.

David is survived by his wife, Rena Ross Jordan; two daughters, Donna Johnson of Dallas and Rhonda Ross of Fort Worth, TX; two sons, Olden Jordan of Houston and David Jordan Jr and wife, Brittany Jordan of Fort Worth, TX.

David had 4 grandchildren, Dontrae Butler, Precious Harrell, Ivan Harrell, and Kingston Jordan. 5 great grandchildren Paris Jordan, Mia Butler, Ah’lee Butler and Nyla Butler.

Paris Harris his great grandchild was his princess who he loved and cherished dearly.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Odessa and Olden Jordan; son, Christian Sargent Jordan; three sisters, Janie Coleman, Dorothy Bradley and Betty Jordan; three brothers, Allen Jordan, Richard Jordan and Henry Jordan.

David had a host of nieces and nephews that he loved and cherished like his own.
