On August 5, 1976, in Fort Worth, Texas, a precious baby boy naed DeOtis J. Roberts Taylor (nick named Tootie) was born and dearly loved by his parents, Madeline R. and Otis T. He attended O.D. Wyatt High School and graduated in 1994. He went on to attend Southern University in Houston, Texas. He lived in Los Angeles, California for a few years and moved back home to Fort Worth, Texas. He became a first-time father in 2001. DeOtis accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. His love, care, and kindness will be carried on forever. On May 1, 2025, DeOtis entered his eternal home in glory and peace. He was preceded in death by his mother Madeline; grandparents, great-grandparents, nieces and other family members. DeOtis is survived by his son Zaylan; his father, Otis (Cathy); life partner, Juanita; sisters, LaSybil (Kittrell, Jr.), Niya, Brittney, and Brandi (Drew); nephews, Adnaudta (Fanny), Mia, Zhai and Xantos, Daeron, Jayden, Laelani, Tabias; niece, Aleeya and a host of family members and friends.
