Domenick was born on September 13, 1945, in Tarrytown, New York. When he was 10, his family moved to Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. He attended St. Annes until the 84 grade and went to high school at St. Pious. After high school he began working as an orderly at Jefferson Hospital and eventually went on to the hospital in Pottstown as an orderly. Domenick met his future wife, Marjorie Stahl, while working at Pottstown Hospital and they were married in 1970. He adopted Marjorie's two sons in 1972 and brought them into his large, loving Italian family. The family enjoyed many trips to the Poconos with extended family and friends, and they also went on yearly camping trips across the Northeast. In 1982 Dom found Faith in the Lord and began his lifelong quest to learn as much as he could about religion. He was in the consistory at the United Church of Christ at St. Pauls in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, and he was a respected elder at church and in the community.
Dom was a hardworking husband and father and often worked 2-3 jobs simultaneously to support his family. In 1971, he began working as a machine operator and was elected as union shop steward at Dohler Jarvis in Stowe, Pennsylvania, and he stayed there for the next 12 years. In the early 80s and until retirement in 2010, Domenick went to work at BP oil as a field manager, DJ Whitman Oil as a dispatcher, and Petro as comptroller/dispatcher. During that time, in 1989 Domenick completed an Associates Degree in Accounting at Pace Institute in Reading, Pennsylvania.
In 2011, Domenick and Marjorie moved to Burleson, Texas to enjoy the warmer temperatures and to be nearer to one of their sons. Both Marjorie and Dom joined the United Methodist Church in Mansfield, Texas, and very seldom missed a service. They thoroughly enjoyed the sermons, pastors, and the extensive music program at the church.
Dom was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all football and baseball - his beloved Eagles and Phillies - along with golf on TV with family. He grew to like the Texas Rangers and enjoyed their championship run. In the 70s he was an avid bowler and later in life loved the game of golf. He also enjoyed keeping his yard well kept on his lawn tractor, going to see family and friends, and enjoying the view from his porch with his dog. His face would light up with his children and grandchildren, and he will be missed by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie, his sons Marty and John, daughter-in-laws Deb and Cynthia, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Dom is also survived by his sister Cathy Ash and her husband Tim Ash. He was predeceased by his mother and father - Emilie and Domenick St., and younger brother Patrick Amodei. Domenick was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, uncle and cousin, and his presence will be deeply missed by all.
