He was born in Cleburne, TX on November 5th, 1937. Don graduated from Pascal High School and joined the U.S. Marines.
He was married to Emogene Cunningham on July 30th, 1981 in Forest Hill, TX. Don worked in Miller Brewery. He was a member of the Free Masons and had a passion for fishing and going to the movies.
He is preceded in death by his parents Hugh Morris Cunningham and Ida Cunningham; his sister Patsy Moxon; and his son Tommy Cunningham.
He is survived by his wife Emogene Cunningham; his children Timmy Cunningham, Connie Gilfeather, and Patricia Bass (husband Zak Bass); his grandchildren Morgan Gilfeather and Ryan Bass, and his brother Roger Cunningham (wife Linda Cunningham).
A visitation will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, in the Stateroom, located at 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76134, on Monday January 12, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue in the Chapel of Chimes, on Tuesday January 13, 2026, at 10:00 am.
Burial will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park, located at 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76134, on Tuesday January 13, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
