If I can help somebody as I pass along, if I can cheer somebody with a word or song, if I can show somebody they're traveling wrong, then my living shall not be in vain. Donna Hood, a teacher in the Fort Worth ISD and the beloved wife of Pastor Dr. James O. Hood and the caring mother of Jameika, Jocelyn Katlyn and Jakylan, fell asleep in the arms of the Savior on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015.
Celebration of life: Noon Saturday, Nov. 7, at New Testament Baptist Church, 107 Gray St., Naples, Texas. Interment: Milner Cemetery. Visitation: Family and friends will gather 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 1319 South Freeway, to remember its First Lady.
Survivors: Others left to mourn her passing are her loving mother, Waola Turner; brothers, Richard and Keith Turner; sisters, Deborah Boyd and Dujuana Warren; and a host of other relatives, church family and friends.
