Dorothy LaVerne Stevenson, 90, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. LaVerne was born March 13, 1924, in Rotan to Luther and Lillie Puryear. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Homer Stevenson; and a son, Garry Stevenson. Survivors: Daughter, Judy and Ken Harrison of Florida; sons, Kenneth and Kathy Stevenson of Fort Worth and Robert and Joyce Stevenson of Georgia; daughter-in-law, Marybeth Stevenson of Oregon; grandchildren, Ashley, Jeffrey, Bonnie, Angie, Jay, Alison, Lori and Amber; and great-grandchildren, Isabella, Braylon and Savanna. Memorial service: and visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land Fort Worth. Interment: 9:30 a.m. Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
