Service: 10 a.m. Monday, June 10, at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Interment: 11:30 a.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Fort Worth on June 15, 1921. He was a graduate of Polytechnic High School. He served with the 11th Air Force during World War II and was an active Army Reservist retiring in 1975 as a master sergeant.
He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Ella Klingler; father, James B. Loftin; and his granddaughter, Brandi Michelle Stark.
Survivors: Daughter, Murlene Stark and husband, Les; daughter, Jimmie Kaye Mattoon and husband, Ken; son, Edward Murl Loftin II; grandchildren, Kristen Pearce, Tiffany Chick, Dean Giles, Kelly Jo Loftin, Anna Noyce; great-grandchildren, Hunter Pearce, Fisher Pearce, Lilly Pearce, Krystle Fuller, Aubrey Chick, Austin Chick, Natalie Giles, Evan Giles, Cameron Noyce and Mason Noyce; and great-great-grandson, Ty Fuller.
