Edward was born May 10th, 1946 in Los Angeles, California to Eugene Witherspoon and Betty Jane Roach.
Edward, at the age of 17 in 1963 joined the Marine Corps and proudly served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged on May 11th 1970. After his service he worked briefly as an elevator technician, and then worked for Bell Helicopter as a maintenance technician for 35 years until he retired. He loved the outdoors and hunted often with his buddies: Tim McCoy, Larry Sweeney, and Ross Radovich. He had a passion for gardening and enjoyed sharing it with his grandchildren.
Edward is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Witherspoon; daughters, Kathy and Shelley Witherspoon; grandchildren, Adrienne Rocha, Steven Radovich, Alyssa Daniel, and Amanda Cheek; great grandchildren, Samuel and Nicolas Rocha, and McKenzie Radovich.
At the request of Edward, no service or visitation will occur, and we have honored his wishes. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family suggests donations made in his name to local animal shelters.
