Efren Alvarez

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our father Efren Alvarez, who left us on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at the age of 76 years old. Dad passed peacefully, at home with his family at his bedside. He was a beloved father, brother, son, uncle and friend and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Born on June 25th, 1948, in Bridgeport, Nebraska, Efren Alvarez was the child of Felipe Arcos and Antonia Fabela Alvarez. Throughout his life, Efren Alvarez was known for his love of music, singing and playing his guitar, shooting pool, watching westerns, and playing golf. He was also a die hard Green Bay Packers fan. He loved his family deeply, and was happiest when he was with his loved ones laughing, playing cards and having fun.

Efren Alvarez is survived with deep sorrow by his daughters Rachel Marie Santiago (spouse Doug), Adriana Lisa Alvarez, Ruby Alicia Dover, (spouse Scott). Six grandsons, Efren Aranda (wife Chelsea), Esteban Alvarez (wife Sara), Emilio Alvarez, Justin Ray Baker (wife Gabrielle), Robert Anthony Toledo and Christopher Scott Dover. Three great grandsons Xillian Vanco Aranda, Ezra Scott Aranda, Lucien Sixto Alvarez. One great-granddaughter Lilah Quinn Aranda and Two step-grandsons, DJ Santiago (spouse Elizabeth) and Seth Lee Santiago and one step great-grandson Jonah Alan Bowling. Siblings, Marylou Ortiz (spouse Mike), Ruby Alvarez, Raul Alvarez, Pete Tamez (spouse Terry), and many more family and friends. Efren was preceded in death by his daughter Erlinda Evila Alvarez-Aranda, two granddaughters Bianca Nicole Baldivia and Angel Marie Rodriguez. Father, Felipe Arcos and Mother Antonia Fabela. Grandparents, Raul and Evila Fabela. Brothers, Richard Alvarez and Felipe (Philip) Alvarez.
