Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 10 a.m. to service time Friday.
Eleanor was born in Dallas on Oct. 25, 1929, to Herbert and Flora Darwin. She was the youngest of eight children.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Preston Barron; her daughter-in-law, Carole Barron; her daughter-in-law, Susan Barron; and her grandson, Matthew Barron.
Eleanor spent her life as a homemaker. Her true passions were her children and grandchildren.
Survivors: Sons, David Barron of Keene, Russell Barron and Brian Barron, both of Fort Worth; her daughter, Lisa Cordell and husband, Elton, of Red Oak; six grandchildren, Donna Griffith of Crowley, Rodney Barron of Burleson, Christopher Cordell of Cedar Park, Laura Cordell of Chicago, Ill., Spencer Cordell of Fort Worth and Brian Cordell of Coppell; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
