Emilia "Memaw" C. Reyes

A Viewing will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:30 pm on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, 7301 E. Lancaster Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76112.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, 5550 E. Lancaster Ave Fort Worth, TX 76112 with the Father Reehan, officiating. Burial will follow at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery with a Reception afterwards at The Lions Club Fort Worth located at 6013 Craig St. Fort Worth, TX 76112.

Emilia was born in Devine, Texas to Isaac & Rafaela Cantu on February 28, 1937. She married Regulo Ordaz Reyes on April 17, 1970 in Fort Worth, Texas. She worked for 15 plus years at Texas Wesleyan University and retired in 1997. She loved to garden, crochet, play bingo and cards. She was involved in whatever activities her grandchildren were doing.

Emilia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Regulo Reyes, 2 sons Raul and Rene Reyes and brothers and sisters Abundia, Simon, Trinidad, Maria, Santiago, Teodoro and Frances.

Emilia is survived by her daughter Rebecca Ramirez, husband Ismael Ramirez, daughter Raquel Jimenez and husband Juan Jimenez. Grandchildren Miranda Guevara, Meriah Guevara, Jacob Ramirez, Maribel Jimenez and Dylan Ramirez.

Pallbearers will be Juan Jimenez, Ismael Ramirez Jacob Ramirez, Arturo Almanza, Adrian Abalos, Joe Gomez, Nicholaus Cano Ramirez and Ivan Carmona.

The family of Emilia wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Daniel McGilvary and Dr. Avinash Vallurupalli who always took wonderful care of her.
