She was born in Winnsboro, Louisiana on May 18, 1922 to James Albert Aycock and Lottie Weaver.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Eastern Star and was Vice President of Crowley Senior Citizens in 1995. Ethel had a passion for music, dancing, sewing and bingo.

She is survived by her daughter; Delores Candies, her grandchildren; Alesia Dufrene, Cyndi Daniel, Christine Candies and Jerry Candies Jr., great grandchildren; Candy Allen, Brandy Chambliss Johnston, Jessica Cook, Misty Bellow and Krystal Massimini, great great grandchildren; Brooke Allen, Lyla Johnston, Abby Cook, Andy Cook and many more.
